The SideHustle Internship Cohort 5.0 portfolio bootcamp has been quite an interesting and much engaging process, packed with weekly tasks and challenges that will literally keep one busy 24/7 or should I say 24/6 cos actually the Sundays are for building up anxiety and curiosity to knowing what the week's challenge will be and most often they drop at around midnight (thanks to our Bootcamp "community manager" @DamilareOyetade👀 for being an unrepentant nightcrawler and literally always bringing the *"WHO DEY BREET" vibes on Sunday nights)...then work starts on Mondays and with weekly submissions done on Saturdays.
This is WEEK 5 of the bootcamp and below is a brief documentation of my Team's performance for the week...
Task Assigned:- Build out a Quiz App and get it to look as close to the design ( Click here ) as possible. (99% compliance). This challenge focuses on HTML, CSS & JS with Javascript being really important in this, to allow the app to be functional by validating the correct answer.
Your users should be able to:
- View Highscores
- Start and Complete the quiz with the functional timer
- When questions of the quiz are completed the score is set to the remaining seconds of the timer.
- The score should be added to high scores in local storage.
Implementation of Task:- We carefully went through the design prototype file and mapped the process of carrying out the task, noting the following pages to be worked on:
- Start card png
- All done png
- High scores png
- Correct answer png
- Show high scores png
- Questions png.
Then we distributed/selected the above pages based on individual's preferences, built the HTML and CSS codes in just a few hours.
Next, we made the above pages functional and with input validation...this was done in record time, and so we had our task completed and ready for submission.

I am sure you will like to go through our blog to read posts from past weeks😉. Feel free.
Hoping to see you again this coming week, being the final week of the bootcamp😃.(I am excited about it and I bet you are interested in knowing what our final task will be). So, Stay tuned.
See ya!🤗💖
P.S: Translated literally, "who dey breet"(*) means "Who is breathing?" It is used to call attention to a breathtaking or tensive moment, by suggesting that everyone should be so awestruck that they are unable to breathe.
